Analysis of the Effects of Known Sleep-Support Supplements in Relation to Life Habits, Sleep Conditions, and Sleep Problems
The study investigated the effects of dietary sleep-support supplements on sleep problems related to lifestyle habits. The researchers conducted a randomized trial with 160 participants and administered various supplements such as l-theanine, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), Apocynum venetum leaf extract (AVLE), and l-serine. The results showed that all the tested supplements significantly improved sleep problems. Additionally, the study found that the effects varied depending on individuals’ lifestyle habits, sleep conditions, and specific sleep problems. It was also noted that subjects who consumed dairy products frequently showed improvement with all the tested supplements. These findings suggest the possibility of personalizing sleep-support supplementation based on individual factors in addition to the known efficacy of dietary supplements.
